Firstly, if you encounter any problems with your organic produce PLEASE PLEASE do not hesitate to notify us. We are pretty flexible with any adjustments as we guarantee the Freshness of our produce.


“Reminder: In terms of delivery, please do not leave more than 2 boxes for the couriers to pick up. They also have a truckload of stuff to deliver and have limited space. If you have many, please CONTACT US directly and we will make arrangements to pick them up ourselves. Please be understanding to the courier limitations as we had finally found a reliable one! A NATURAL PROTEIN ‘NOT-A-KINGSTON’ BISCUIT

THIS RECIPE INSPIRATION CAME DIRECT FROM WHOLEFOOD SIMPLY

I have made a few little tweaks (to make them #nutfree friendly and #healthyprotein rich)

Enjoy By Yourself or With Someone You Love With All Your Heart

(Trust me- these are too good to share with anyone else!!! )

ingredients – For The Biscuits

1 cup desiccated coconut

1 cup pumpkin seeds

3 tablespoons coconut syrup

1 scoop Tao Nutrition Organic Vanilla Bean Natural Protein Powder (Healthy Natural Protein)

pinch of salt

INGREDIENTS – For The Chocolate Cream

12 medjool dates, seeds removed

3 tablespoons coconut cream

1 tablespoon cacao

how to

Preheat you oven to 175°C

Line a tray with baking paper.

Place the biscuit ingredients into your food processor and pulse until the mixture is completely broken down and sticking together.

(You will need to make sure the mix is sticking together in the processor. Keep mixing until it does. Add in coconut syrup if you need it stickier)

Shape the mixture into small balls and place the balls onto the tray.

Flatten the balls into cookies.

Bake the cookies for 10 minutes or until nicely golden. Turn the tray half way through cooking (I also turned mine over (very gently) at half-way).

Remove from the oven and leave the cookies on the tray for 10 minutes before gently moving to a cooling rack. (This is the hard part! Resist the urge to eat them off the rack!….)

To make the cream place the ingredients into your food processor and pulse, scrap the mixture back onto the blades and pulse again. If you need it to be thicker, add more dates.

Once the biscuits have cooled sandwich them together with the chocolate cream.

COCONUT AND BLUEBERRY PROTEIN SLICE – PHOTOS + VEGAN RECIPE

I recently made a rather large bulk purchase of organic shredded coconut….

With a oversupply of coconut, it was time for a coconut slice- but this time-with an antioxidant twist

Enter the Dreamy Coconut and Blueberry Protein Slice

Yum!

This slice is high in healthy protein (thanks to Tao Nutrition -the natural vegan protein powder of choice :)

And high in antioxidants (thanks to the beautiful berries)

Ingredients:

(Please excuse my non-standard measures!)

1 Scoop Tao Nutrition Natural Vegan Protein Powder (Organic Vanilla Bean)

1.5 Mugs of Shredded Coconut

1 Mug Blueberries (Frozen is fine)

4 Tablespoons of Melted Coconut

3 Tablespoons of Rice Malt Syrup

How to:

Place all ingredients in a food processor and process

 

Spoon the mixture out onto a freezer friendly tray

Press the mixture down so it is flat. Return to the freezer

 

Remove from freezer 2 hours later and cut into pieces

Return the freezer until it’s time to enjoy :)

Ingredients:

How to:
Combine all ingredients into blender
Blend until smooth
Pour into glass
Sprinkle some berries and coconut flakes on top

EMILEE’S RAW VEGAN PROTEIN RASPBERRY CHEESECAKE



Ingredients:

Crust:
• 1 cup raw almonds (or walnuts)
• 1 cup soft Medjool dates (10-16)
• ¼ tsp. sea salt
• 1 scoop chocolate Tao Protein

Filling:
• 1 ½ cups raw cashews, soaked for at least 5 hours, overnight is best
• juice of 2 lemons
• the seeds of 1 whole vanilla bean (or 1 tsp. alcohol-free vanilla extract)
• 1/3 cup raw coconut oil, melted
• 1/3 cup rice malt syrup
• 1 scoop vanilla Tao Protein Natural Vegan Protein Powder
1 cup raspberries (thaw completely if using frozen)



Place nuts, dates and Chocolate Tao Protein in a Blender with sea salt and blend until they are well combined. Now roll a little in your hand. If the ingredients hold together, your crust is perfect.

Scoop out crust mixture in a 20cm spring-form pan (if you don’t have a spring-form pan, use a pie plate lined with cling wrap), and press firmly.

I used the back of my little measuring cups to get a flat base.

Warm coconut oil and rice malt syrup in a small saucepan on low heat until liquid. Whisk to combine.

In the Blender place all filling ingredients (except raspberries) and blend on high until very smooth. You may need to use a spatula to scrape down the sides

Pour about 2/3 (rough estimate) of the mixture out onto the crust and smooth with a spatula. Add the raspberries to the remaining filling and blend on high until smooth. Pour onto the first layer of filling. Place in freezer until solid.

To serve, remove from freezer 30 minutes prior to eating. Run a smooth, sharp knife under hot water and cut into slices. Serve on its own, or with fresh fruit. Store in freezer.

If you’re as impatient and excited about eating this as I am, just heat it in the microwave for a few seconds if you don’t want to wait 30 minutes



Notes: With the cashews, in this recipe I didn’t soak them as, me being me, I completely forgot the night before.


I soaked them for around 10-20mins and added the tiniest amount of water into the mixture. It still came out smooth and creamy.

RAW CACAO PROTEIN PIE

When our resident healthy foodie creates a pie this good… there are no words!

We hope you enjoy this Raw Cacao Protein Pie as much as we did!

 

Raw Cacao Protein Pie

Ingredients: 
For the crust:
– 2 cups almonds
– 1 cup walnuts
– ¼ cup water
– 8 dates, deseeded
– 1 scoop Tao Nutrition Organic Vanilla Bean
– 2 tbsp maple syrup

 

For the filling:
– 5 dates, deseeded
– 2 tbsp maple syrup
– ½ cup almond milk
– ½ cup coconut oil
– 2 cups cashews
– ½ teaspoon vanilla bean paste
– ½ cup cacao powder
– 1 scoop Tao Nutrition Natural Choc

Method:
1. To make the crust, place all ingredients for the crust in a food processor and blend for about 3 mins or until the mixture is no longer crumbly and can stick together.

2. Using a spoon or a spatula, spread crust mixture evenly on the bottom and sides of a baking tray. Place in fridge for about 10 mins.

3. Meanwhile, to make the filling, place all filling ingredients into a food processor and blend until the cashews are no longer crumbly and the texture becomes smooth.

4. Then spread the filling on top of the crust layer. (You will notice the filling mixture will become very oily from the coconut milk- this is completely normal and the oil will harden after it is placed in the fridge).

5. Place the pie in the fridge for about 2 hours. Enjoy!
